You should call triple zero (000) if you or the patient are experiencing any of the following:

• central or crushing chest pain 

• unconsciousness or a seizure (fits)

• severe difficulty breathing or turning blue

• severe bleeding or inability to control bleeding with pressure

• sudden inability to move or speak, or sudden facial drooping

• the effects of a severe accident.

If you feel ill and are concerned about the possibility that you have the COVID-19 infection, our COVID-19 Assessment is intended to assist you in making decisions about whether to be tested or seek immediate medical care. Our recommendations are based on the experience of medical physicians treating COVID-19 infections in the United Sates, by US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), infectious disease experts in China and a critical review of U.S. municipal and state guidelines. These recommendations are subsequently cross-referenced with the Australian Government's Department of Health's "healthdirect" guidelines and will be updated on a weekly basis or earlier as updates come through. We have in good faith provided this tool to assist the general public in accessing helpful tools in a range of community languages.
